I doubt that anyone still reads this, but today I came across
this essay regarding online piracy. It reflected my views precisely, as well as bringing up some points I had not thought of myself, and I was lapping up every word until I reached the penultimate paragraph and saw this:
"Whether [you are] a conservative bigot or a liberal intellectual..."
The author basically shot himself in the foot here; alienating half the population is ludicrously counter-intuitive when one is ostensibly trying to unite everyone under one banner.
